We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Rocky River Nature Center, 24000 Valley Parkway, North Olmsted, OH 44070.

Doors open at 6:30pm for refreshments and conversation. Meeting begins at 7:00pm.

Varroa is an external parasitic mite that attacks honey bees. Learn about the biology, life cycle and choices beekeepers must make as they maintain their hives.

Speaker: Dave Noble, Stratford Ecological Center Apiarist

How can the biology of a honey bee colony inform, and direct, our management practices? How does what we see in the hive, and on the frames, translate into an understanding of what are bees are doing and what they may need.
